I am Vincent van Gogh (Bi-Polar)

 Vincent van Gogh's mental problems

This Dutch painter died from the consequences of a suicide attempt with a gun 2 days earlier, on 29 1890, at the age of 37 years.

Three art historians who were familiar with Van Gogh from correspondence and other sources, as well as a neuropsychiatric examiner, explained his medical condition.

The conclusion was that Van Gogh suffered from more than one disease or condition within his body at the same time. He also had borderline personality disorder, which is unstable mood, behavior, and relationships. This personality disorder's symptoms include emotional instability, feelings of worthlessness, insecurity, impatience, and impaired social relationships. The treatments include talk therapy or medication, and hospitalization helps for the severe symptoms. It has been said that he likely developed a bipolar disorder, and that worsened through alcohol use. That with a rising psychosocial tension and that led to his suicide.

Was young wild, looking for fun.  I got a work at the Department of Education in 1989 as storeman.  Jo-Ann was a friend, she always phoned, we chatted but she married.  She worked for the big boss and had very much trouble with her dad who was an alcoholic.

Every morning I left my grandparents' house to catch the train at the nearest train station.  The walk was not far but in Winter Springs is very chilli.  So I dress warm always with a jacket because was that the dress code and I almost forgot you need to wear a tie.

So in the mornings waiting for the train, there were two types of seats on the train, one for the whites, always clean and there were just a few people it was quiet and the people spoke softly and nicely to each other.  We had to pay, and I was worried if I had money with me because if I didn't they were going to put me out at the next station, then I had two options, walk to the house, which would be closer, or find a public phone box to call my grandfather on the landline, but I doubt that will happen, because I have no cents on me.

So I was very friendly with Natalie and her mother who rode with me on the journey every morning, because if I forgot my money at home, hopefully they would help me with a ticket.

Then after the third, you get more train trucks, that was where the black people, mostly the factory workers and mine workers because it is the City of Gold, were standing and hanging out of the train because there was not enough space for them to sit, it was loud and in the winter is cold, and they were poorly dressed.

So, I was working in the city with a high concentration of Art Deco architecture.

In 1994, I failed my second year in one of my main subjects, which was decor paint. You can't fail art. I could not handle the stress.

I remember Liza's boyfriend calling the Breytenbach Theater and then asking the secretary to go and call the decor lecturer. The decor lecturer rushed down the stairs to the office; we sat and waited, and then he rushed up. He then said, "Liza, Michael called. "Can you please go and talk to him?"  While she was on the phone, he came and harassed me and told me to go and have a look at van Gogh's work. This happened multiple times. I got so angry that I wanted to scream, and that is how Liza made a joke of him.

The Design and Development of Pieter Lategan Galleries

When you think, a lot of people keep their thoughts to themselves. It is not always understandable why people do certain things, because you don't know what is on the mindset of that person.

Now you may wonder why I am writing this. This is a blog, please note, not a website. Before I proceed with this sentence, I want to explain the difference between a blog and a website, well, that is what Google says.

I searched for the actual difference between a blog and a website. They are different in their nature but similar in type. This means they are similar types but apart from each other. I won't delve deeper into that, but a website consists of a link of pages, whereas a blog is the thoughts and opinions of a writer which do not have pages that navigate to other pages, like going to a contact page, price list page, or about us page. So it is easy to explain but not always easy to remember.

I want to continue with the first two sentences with which I started: I design and develop on my blog, ideas, concepts, and thoughts. Sometimes it gets out of hand, and my imagination runs away from me.

The internet space is very interesting; you can basically do what you want. However, there are certain things you need to understand. If you put information about yourself, your address, your phone number, things change and laws are made so that it is not always possible inline by the law, like the Sectional Title law where I am not allowed to run a business from home. If I advertise, I need to do it without an address, but it is okay to call, yet you have to bring your client to you. This is wrong, because then you cannot do business at the place you reside, which is not allowed. It is difficult to live in your own unit because anyone can access this property which I own, and the wrong person might walk in and claim that I am conducting business. Then again, he needs to prove it, but if he sends his friend and there are a few pieces of evidence, that can lead to unwanted trouble in form of a letter.

While I am on the topic, this letter was addressed to me this week. It gives me a good understanding of how the art is experiencing me. In an individual's opinion. My acting was maybe to gain financial pleasure, but I was acting as a salesman, to train myself to start selling artworks, which the art institution has less or no knowledge of.

Benefits to Buy my Art - Pieter Lategan

The World of Pieter Latetgan Art. Photo by Pieter Lategan

Benefits of Buying my Oil Paintings and Acrylics.

My oil paintings have a quality of liveliness not found in printed artwork, and they have the potential to increase in value, if not likelihood.

You can pay far less money for an unknown artist, but you can pay more for my paintings because you know me, you know how I work, and you see me around.

You will not buy fake art from me; you will know that I created it.

You help me, Pieter, when you buy my art. That is why it is also more valuable.

You will support me in showcasing my unique talent, and it will help me to gain recognition.
If you buy Acrylic paintings from me
