Green Lady/Women by Vladimir Tretchikoff

The Model of Tretchikoff Painting the "Green Lady"

The "Green Lady" also known as the "Chinese Girl" was painted in 1952 by the very famous South African/Russian artist Vladimir Tretchikoff. The interesting skin color tone on the "Green Lady" face made the painting very popular in the twentieth century.

The model Monika Sing-Lee, also known as Pon-Su-San, was the model of this very well-known painting. She was around twenty at the time when the painter painted her. She passed away in Johannesburg, South Africa, on 14th June 2017.

My version of the "Green Lady" - "Green Women". (In Development.)

By Pieter Lategan. Title: "Green Lady, Kitsch Art"

I am busy working on (developing) this product. I started with a pencil and then began using acrylics and then I  will go over to oil eventually. It was the first time that I used so many tools to draw, and it helped to change the artwork.

The message of this painting is my rough thoughts: "Green Lady, Kitsch Art."
"Showing freedom with a vision is less stressful. You can look out of the eye of a child if it means something to you. It is easy to draw like a child; it gives happiness and enough freedom, and works for me... Most fashion drawings are lines to capture the figure in a longer version. I want to let this painting look like a fashion designer's drawing. I see movement on the left-hand side of the face, which is getting abstract and has a line-drawing effect on the painting. The right-hand side is more modern and impressionistic. This painting screams to get away from the old and to fill the need for the new. It can change the title: "New Model - Pon-Su-San"."

Hi Judy,

Thank you so much for letting me see you and Suzie today which was once again enjoyable because to had the opportunity to demonstrate the social media platforms of Twitter and Facebook from 12:00 in the class. It's a privilege to help people; I'd like to take them on my adventure so they feel they're worth it.

At the end of their adventure, I would like to stand back and know that they understand empathy. A product manager needs to be able to empathize with his workers and understand their frustration about how to solve the problem of the product. If he requires help from the product manager, the owner has wasted his money and time on both; therefore, they must be independent and solve their own problems.

My business is open for two Sundays, and been to class at Centurion Art Association, two times, last weekend Sunday I made R620, and this Sunday I made R40. On Thursday, as a result of my demonstration, a woman told me she wanted to have a "one-on-one" with me. She comes on Thursday for three hours, and I charge her R200. This means I have already made R240 this week. All this is thanks to you because it's your people who came. Thank you very much; it helps a lot.

I thought about it carefully and decided to focus on the Tuesday demonstration that I give with love for the Centurion Art Association here in Pretoria, South Africa. It's going to put too much pressure on me if I want to teach classes on Saturdays, so I'm not going to take the opportunity to use the studio on Saturdays.

I will see how it goes next year, and then send the presentation your way.

Thank you very much for allowing me to share all this with you.

Be warm.

Regards
Pieter

Everyday We Look At Mannequins Around Us. (Monday Day 2 - 19 days to go).

I want to design, I have an idea, and I want it to be economical, eco-friendly, and recyclable. Now I think, about what sex it must have, I like male, so I am going to focus on male (body).  The sculpture has to stand on his feet, with a head, arms, legs, and belly, just the normal casual guy. That is what I want the mannequin to look like. The boy boor next door...
